Poor old Mutual Friends; the "overnights" show it dropped to 3.3m viewers last night. 14.8% of the share when the slot's been averaging 5m and 21.3%. Yes, there was football on the other side, which is always a killer, but even so... I seem to recall even the train smash that was Bonkers Bonekickers didn't fall as low as that. Oh deary me.

So the Bonekickers slot was filled by the first part of new "comedy drama" Mutual Friends last night. As telly descriptions go, "comedy drama" is the one most calculated to fill me with dread.
